Ginevra Molly "Ginny" Weasley (born August 11, 1981) is a pureblood witch, alpha female of the Pride, and fiancée to Harry Potter.

Early YearsEdit

Ginny was born to Arthur and Molly Weasley on August 11, 1981. She is the only female Weasley to have been born in several generations. Her older brothers consist of Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred and George, and Ron. She grew up in the Burrow, Ottery St. Catchpole, Devon.

Living with DangerEdit

Ginny is seen early on in the story at Diagon Alley's Muggle play area, being pushed on a swing by Bill.

She is properly introduced after Ron brings Harry, Draco and Hermione to the Burrow. She is good friends with Luna Lovegood, and frequently visit one another.

Vital statisticsEdit

Physical appearanceEdit

Ginny, as befits a Weasley, has red hair, which she wears about mid-back length. Her eyes are brown, and she has a plentiful supply of freckles. She is built along the "short" Weasley profile, resembling Charlie and the twins, though where they could be described as stocky, Ginny is well-curved. She has a scar on the inside of her left forearm where Fenrir Greyback bit her over the Christmas holidays of her fourth year.

Magical abilitiesEdit

Like the rest of her Pride, Ginny is an Animagus, with the form of a red-furred Eurasian lynx. Her form name, following her fiance's pattern, is simply "Lynx".

Ginny's wand is pine and phoenix feather, nine and three-quarter inches long. She is quite talented at Charms and casts with more power than people unacquainted with her might assume.

Other abilitiesEdit

Ginny, like her brother Ron, is good with her hands, enjoying both calligraphy and sculpting in her spare time. She also flies quite well and plays Quidditch, both as Chaser and Seeker. She enjoyed the music lessons she took from Aletha once the Pack moved to Devon, and now plays the piano along with singing.
